Arriving at that time in early summer when the football season has finished and I’m watching the cricket ‘cause that’s what I do but my heart isn’t really in it because I’m too busy thinking about football and wishing the season hadn’t ended. And then Jimmy Anderson does something wonderful like take 2 wickets for 3 runs and I can feel that feeling, the one I left behind in September, coming back to me.
And then someone posts a picture on tumblr of Jimmy smiling (and if you are a cricket fan you’ll know how fleeting this image is) and looking gorgeous and I remember how adorably lovely and beautiful and sexy he is and then I’ve basically had it; I’m not going to be thinking about football again any time soon (except this year it’s slightly different because of the Euros but oh well!)
Fast bowler memes. References included.
Me and my friends are having a Eurovision party tonight and we all had to pick three countries out of a hat to support and I really really really wanted Serbia because of Branislav but I didn’t get it and I got Iceland, Turkey and Moldova instead and they’re all kind of crap and I’m not looking forward to it anymore.
(Mostly I just wanted to stick a picture of Branislav on my t-shirt and that would be the extent of my dressing up but now I actually have to do something not lazy! I’m still secretly supporting Serbia, nobody can stop me!)
My legs are absolutely covered with bruises from climbing up the 12 feet high railings on Fulham Road so that I could see the parade on Sunday but now it’s all nice and sunny and I’m completely over-heating in jeans but I can’t put a skirt on because of the state of the legs!!
The things I have to deal with because of the love I have for my football club! ;)

This long hug between JT, Frankie, and Didi is all the more special and meaningful now because of what they knew and what we as fans were only speculating. They knew it was his last game as a Chelsea player.
My heart is heavy and full of love now knowing that hug was more than just a “we did it” hug. It was a hug representing how much love and respect is shared between them. A hug thanking Didier for his 8 years here and for giving us everything he possibly could.
Our three legends holding each other after their last game played together.
It was special before, but now with context, it’s unequivocally priceless.
